Prior to Urbanworks, Amirali worked at Aurora Development, a real estate development services company. At Aurora, Amirali was in charge of overseeing entitlements, design, permitting, and construction of a number of different building types, including high-rise and low-rise residential and commercial offices, totaling more than 4 million square feet of space. He managed projects in Los Angeles and later in San Francisco, where he established the firm’s Bay Area office. In addition to the implementation responsibilities at Aurora, he was one of the main principals in charge of establishing a new development division within the company, where he directly sourced and underwrote several multi-family and commercial office deals.

Sangmin "Sang" Lee
Sang has spent the first decade of his career wearing a number of different hats across the US, including working as an estimator and a superintendent in NYC for two of the largest international general contractors, managing and developing senior housing communities in 12 states, and overseeing a portfolio of commercial real estate loans throughout the West Coast. This enables him to see issues from multiple points of view and come up with creative solutions.
An art enthusiast with a background in engineering, Sang hopes to bring to life projects that are efficient and functional while aesthetically bold and tasteful at the same time.
Ben joined Urbanworks’ San Francisco team with the desire to integrate thoughtful, high-quality design into urban living and work spaces. Over the past decade, Ben has worked in real estate design and development, including financial analysis, architectural design, entitlement, construction, and purchase and sale of both residential and commercial properties. His work includes ground-up and rehab projects in Miami, Washington, D.C. and San Francisco.
This diverse experience allows him to anticipate and address obstacles during all stages of a project. Outside of the office, Ben enjoys cycling some of the country’s best scenery.
Dana moved to Los Angeles from the San Francisco Bay Area after receiving her degree in Communications, and quickly found that construction and development were something of a passion. Previous experience as an architectural office manager meant she was well-prepared when she took on an administrative role at Urbanworks. Dana enjoys being able to see a project progress from inception to move-in. She quickly grasps problems and efficiently solves the minute to the substantial, and her ability to retain facts helps her both in the office and at trivia night.
