Urbanworks managed the expansion of Airbnb's second headquarters consisting of more than 150,000 SF of creative office space; now housing around 1,000 Airbnb employees. The expansion includes major base building upgrades including opening the building atrium, a full upgrade of the building's smoke control along with all mechanical and electrical systems, as well as tenant improvements such as a full-service kitchen, all-hands area, and open-plan office space, comprised of workstation systems, conference, project and huddle rooms, and open collaboration areas.
As with other Airbnb offices, each meeting room matches the interior design of a listing from around the world. In this building, the concept was taken to the next level with each floor reflecting a different city and aesthetic.
